What you need to prepare before starting an intimates brand

YelenadesignsFebruary 1, 2024

If you believe certain women are not having their needs met and you want to change that, then you are the perfect person to create your own intimates brand!

So, you are probably here because you already have an idea for an intimates brand, but maybe you feel a little apprehensive on where to begin and how to get the ball rolling (as this isn’t exactly common knowledge!) Well don’t worry, as I am now going to tell you! 🙂

Preparation before starting a brand

1. What is your mission?

If you have a vague idea on what brand you want to create, then the next step is to start getting more specific. Think about what your mission is to create your brand, what problem do you want to solve, and who would be buying your designs. It needs to be something you can really get behind and that you really believe in, so your customers are excited to be a part of your brand. You don’t have to be thinking specifically about the product at this stage (as that is where I can hep you) but if you have a clear mission, your brand is much more likely to succeed.

2. Funding

Creating your own brand is an investment, so you’ll need to be prepared to fund it. Ask yourself do you currently have the funds to create a brand? If not, you may be able to get a business grant or loan. There are lots of opportunities for start-out businesses these days, so have a search online, talk to friends, ask colleagues if they know of anything, you never know!

3. Gather images/research

Start gathering images and looking at similar styles to your idea in the shops. This will give you a good idea of what is already on the market, what could work for your idea and what might not work for your idea. When you have gathered your inspiration and research then this is the perfect time to book a consultation call with me.
